Questions:  Why swimming subject should be not compulsory for university students to graduate?

Thesis statement: Swimming subject should be not compulsory for university students to graduate because of swimming can lead to health problems, swimming can cause drowning and swimming demands high energy.

1)      Point 1: Firstly, swimming can lead to health problems.
a)      Sub fact 1: According to Brian (2015), the water of the pool is mostly chlorinated and it can be absorbed by your skin and lungs while breathing.
b)      Sub fact 2: It can cause skin allergy or respiratory problems like asthma.

2)      Point 2: Besides, swimming is dangerous because it can cause drowning.
a)      Sub fact 1: Open swimming like at the sea, lake or river can increase the chances of drowning because water currents are not stable like in the pool.
b)      Sub fact 2: Aquatic animals, like jellyfish, sharks and crabs are other threats as they can harm you physically.

3)      Point3: Lastly, swimming demand high energy.
a)      Sub fact 1: As a student, you will feel exhausted because you have lost your energy while swimming.
b)      Sub fact 2: As a result, you become weak and cannot concentrate during classes of the other subjects.

Cheating during examination

Cheating is a habit which act dishonestly or fairly in order to gain some advantages, especially in an examination. Nowadays, the prevalence of cheating in university across the country becomes higher from time to time. According to Phillip(2006),research indicates that an astounding 60-70% of college students admit to cheat during exam.This kind of habit had become a trend among university students to get flying colours in examination.Although there are many  problems that lead to this phenomenon which are students did not attend the class and lack of preparation, there are also alternative solutions to solve these problems.

One of the main problems why the phenomenon has become popular among students is they did not attend the class. According to Flemming (1992),the major reasons given by students for non-attendance at lectures were competing assessment pressure, poor lecturing, timing of the lecture and poor quality of the lecture content. The students find that the lectures given not interesting and difficult to understand (Clay and Breslow,2006).Sometimes, a class is good depends on the style of lecturer in teaching and the subject itself is easy to learn by the students. Another problem of cheating is the students are lack of preparation for sitting on examination. The students cannot manage their time properly because they are busy due to assignments overload.

It is important that action is taken to combat these serious problems.Professors should play their roles to attract the students to attend classes. Some of those methods which are pop quizzes, taking attendance, and giving away test questions in class will force students to attend( Clay and Breslow,2006).So,students must attend for classes because all the assignment given will provides carrymark and effect the results of their examination. T Spaeth-Hilbert, T Seufert, S Wesner, (2013) confirmed that students’ impression of better learning results with lecture-recordings compared to live-lectures.On the other hand,students have also a part to play,because if they can manage their time wisely,they absolutely can answer all questions in examination without cheating.As a result,the percentage of students who were cheating during examination may be reduced.

In conclusion, cheating during examination is always a striking issue in our country’s education.There are many causes on why cheating becomes popular among students.However,with the right action of individuals and lecturers ,the problem of cheating will prevent especially during examination.

Do you like eating fast food?Yes,most of the people especially for young generation in this world prefer fast food because of many reasons.

B.GENERAL STATEMENT

Fast food has become popular among people and  studies have shown that  McDonald’s was the most valuable fast food brand in the world with an estimated brand value of about 81.16 billion U.S. dollars.

C.THESIS STATEMENT

Briefly,as the fast food offers a reasonable price and save our time,it has also contribute to unhealthy diet for human population.

II BODY
A.Topic Sentence
The significant reasons fast food become popular from day to day are they are inexpensive and easy available.

1.Supporting Point 1

When people all over the world are looking for a quick,save their time and easy meal to grab on the go,fast food is the best solution.

a.Sub-Supporting Point 1 (specific detail-3rd level)

Besides,fast food restaurants are so popular nowadays and we can find them almost everywhere without searching for a long time especially for people who are busy with their work.

  b.sub-supporting point 2 (specific detail-3rd level)

On the other hand,students do not have much time between classes and the common solution for them is eating fast food such as toasts and hamburgers in a place which is near to their school.




2.Supporting Point 2

The majority of fast food restaurants provides customer with reasonable price because the cost  of ingredients to serve fast food is low.

        a.Sub-supporting Point 1 (specific detail-3rd level)

       In a survey conducted by B.Tuttle(2014),fast food restaurant provide the food in a bigger portion for very little money so, absolutely most people can afford it.

Some of fast food restaurants offer at low price because  they have high competition in their business among other restaurants such as the famous francaises of Pizza Hut and Domino’s Pizza.

In short,fast food had become a common food for all people especially among children and teens  around the world due to its low price and fast producing meals.

Briefly,as the fast food offers a reasonable price and save time,it has contribute to unhealthy diet for human population.

However, this change  in lifestyle can lead to some serious effects and will suffer from  an unhealthy diet.

As we know,fast food do not contain enough nutrients that are needed for our body to stay healty such as vitamins,proteins and calcium.

As a result,you may feel chronically fatigued and lack of energy to complete daily tasks and jobs.C.Chandrima(2014) states that a set of McDonald’s meals have a high level of salt and sugar which are not good for our body system if taken daily.

2.Supporting point 2

Other than that,,unhealthy processed food are a potential health threat since they contribute to the obesity and chronic diseases among people.

According to P. Ann and C.Elea(2015) ,obesity can lead to health problems as varies as diabetes,high blood pressure and heart attack so,it is no wonder that these kind of food have attracted to health problems.

III CONCLUSION

To conclude the overall of this topic,affordable and fast meals provided are the major reasons on why people prefer fast food even though it has a bad impact to our body like providing us with unbalanced diet.
                         
                        B.Suggestion/recommendation
                       
                 There is not a big problem if we consume a right quantity of fast food and not eat          regularly.Setting short-term and long-term goals for young generations  is a great source as motivation to reduce fast food consumption.

International day of UMT

Assalamualaikum....:)


Last Saturday night,my bestie,Syakirah and I spent our weekend by going to International day in UMT.The event held at Dataran Kompleks Siswa.There were a lot of people from many countries which were from our beloved country,Malaysia,Thailand,bangladeshJapan,Korea ,Brazil and many more.Although it was raining but not heavily,the event was still carried on.We were so excited having a varieties of delicious foods from many countries.The main objective of the event was to ensure that the relationship between local and international students were strong rather than know their cultures.At the night,there was also many interesting performances performed by UMT students and also from international students.They performed traditional dancing with beautiful costums especially chinese and indian students..






some students performed dancing.




The most attractive and interesting competition  in that night was the fashion show which involved many students from various cultures.They wore their traditional costums from Sarawak,Brazil and so on.They look so gorgeous and handsome on their own style.I also had opportunity to buy foods which I never tried before such as from Australia.But I did not have enough time to visited all the food stalls there .I hope this kind OF  event will be held again.
